Personalization & risk
Generic advice is worse than no advice. elvaro builds a profile of who you are as a trader — and every answer, signal, and alert passes through that lens.
Your trader profile
elvaro's profile of you is assembled from three layers:
| Layer | What it captures | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Stated | Goals, experience level, time horizon, risk tolerance, preferred language and tone. | The onboarding conversation — and anytime you update preferences in Settings. |
| Observed | The positions and entry points you share: size, concentration, what you're holding and why. | Your conversations with the agent. |
| Behavioral | What you ask about, which assets you follow, what you bookmark, how you react to signals. | Your ongoing conversations and activity in elvaro. |
The result: two users typing the identical question get different answers — because a 22-year-old with $500 and a five-year horizon and a 45-year-old with $200k and a mortgage should get different answers.
How elvaro adapts to your trading style
Over time, elvaro learns the shape of how you trade — and meets you there:
Detail level
Want the one-line verdict or the full evidence chain? elvaro adjusts how much reasoning it shows based on your preferences.
Style awareness
A scalper asking about ETH needs momentum and levels; a DCA accumulator needs valuation context. Same asset, different answer.
Your language
Conversations, onboarding, and explanations in the language you choose.
Living profile
Tell elvaro "be more aggressive" or "I've lowered my risk this quarter" — the profile updates, instantly and conversationally.
Risk assessment, built into every answer
Risk isn't a settings toggle in elvaro — it's an input to the analysis itself. Your risk profile changes what the agents recommend:
| Conservative profile | Aggressive profile | |
|---|---|---|
| Same question | "Should I enter SOL here?" | |
| Position framing | Smaller size suggested, wider stop, focus on invalidation level | Momentum entry acceptable, tighter stop, defined take-profit ladder |
| Warnings | Flags volatility and concentration earlier | Still enforces a stop-loss — aggression never means undefined risk |
| Sentiment extremes | Advised to wait out greed spikes | Alerted that crowded trades cut both ways |
Three risk principles are non-negotiable regardless of profile: every signal has a stop-loss, concentration gets flagged, and sentiment extremes trigger a second look. Personalization changes the dial, never the seatbelt.
